Tuesday Class

After students had the opportunity to work on group selection we developed our "Need to Know" list to answer the driving question around our Africa Project: "How can students from a small town have a positive global impact?"

In the afternoon, students had opportunities to meet their group members and begin the process of finding current issues in Africa.

Monday Class

Today in science we reviewed some key concepts from the year. Students created a small edmodo posting on their assigned topic. In addition, students created a small skit to share with the large group based around their assigned topic.

Wednesday Class

Today in science we continue looking at the driving question of, "How do we explain the differences between baking ingredients?" To help with this, we did a lab today looking at chemical reactions. At the conclusion of todays class students did a self assessment on their personal accountability.

Today students accomplished two things:
1. Took our assessment on chemical and physical properties.
2. Worked on their project products for our food ingredient project.

Thursday Class

Today in science we took a step back and had some time for reflection and discussion using a "fishbowl" reflection method. The students loved it!
Tomorrow we will focus on creating our food ingredient project presentations.
