Friday Class (10/9/09)

Today in class we did a variety of things.
1. We took a quiz on symbiosis.
2. We took a look at our use of the blog and resources. Students have a small homework assignment due next Tuesday on this.
3. We introduced the next group of activities involving owl pellets.

Due Next Tuesday: Print off your own copy of a progress report from power school. (See your teacher if you are missing your password). Also, some evidence that you were on this blog.

I was trying to do the sheet that we have to fill out about this sight and I can't find the other poll. Where is it?

The Internet Exposure Assessment asks students to "vote in both polls with your parent." There is only one poll.

Also, it says to "post any questions that you have under replies." I see nothing that says "replies," only "post." Is this what you mean?

Reply to some of your questions...
1. Science Olympiad info will be coming soon!
2. You can print off progress reports either at home or at school. We can show you the available printers at school.

For the Science Collection project, does the leaf collection have to be tree leaves? Can there be shrubs, or grasses? It doesn't say "tree" leaves.

Coach Wandel said...

I would suggest to keep it to trees. You could use a shrub or two but grasses get very difficult to classify. Let me know if you have further questions.

for the leaf collection, can it be leaves from plants, or only from trees?

Just wondering if it's ok to turn in the printed-off progress report e-mail that we get. I have a request in to the office for the password and user id, but the one we have from last year does not work. Thanks!
