Friday Class

The good news of the day is that there is NO Homework currently issued. Today in class we did 3 three things:
1. CPS Quiz
2. Talked about classifying and started a Dragon classification lab. This is also NOT available online. Extra copies are available if they get lost. This lab will also be done on Monday.
3. Science Olympiad sign-ups were done. The tryout process will be a accomplished by using a formula to take any teacher bias out of the equation. The formula is 25% science grade, 25% total CPS score, 25% Science Olympiad entry test score, and 25% background behavior check in other classes. Look for the entry quiz to happen sometime during the upcoming week.

Have a great and safe weekend!

Invasive Species Power Point

Uploaded on authorSTREAM by tmalefyt

Wednesday Class

Today we did our final wrap up of invasive species. We did a power point presentation on some of the more famous invasive species. This presentation led to some pretty cool discussions in the classroom! The last 15 minutes of class was spent watching a science Olympiad introduction video. We will have sign ups starting this Friday. Watch for more details to come!

Remember, tomorrow the 3 items from our invasive species learning stations are due!

Tuesday Class

Due to the fact that our schedule has been pretty inconsistent the last 2 weeks, we have not had time to do any CPS quick-starts. Therefore, we felt that it would be a good idea to watch a short video on food webs to review some important concepts. After the video was played, we went over what is due on Thursday. For a complete listing of items due, look at yesterday's blog entry. Students were then given time in class to work on their items.
