Tuesday Class

Today in science is the day we pick the topic we are going to focus on. Click here to access this activity.

In addition, if your group finishes this process early you will need to write a rough draft explaining why your group picked what you did. A final draft will be written on your application to the Siemens corporation. This is what they recommend you write about:

Which environmental topic did your team select? How does this topic affect your local community? Explain how this topic is important or meaningful to your team.

Also, you will need to reference two websites that you used to help you in your decision.

Learning Target: Through collaboration and research, I can choose a local environmental issue to focus a project around.

Monday Class

Today in science we continued looking at some local and global environmental issues.
1. We had a demonstration about the amount of freshwater that our world has.

2. Students are to go to our collaboration website and complete today's discussion about water. If students did not get a chance to talk about invasive species they can do that too!

3. Students have time to finish their sand dune drawing, invasive species graph, or collaborate as a group getting ready to select a topic tomorrow.
