Tuesday Class
Hello 7th grade students and parents! Starting today, Mr. Wandel and Mr. Malefyt's student teacher, Ms. Hielkema, will be updating the 7th Grade Science Blog. As an introduction, I will post my user's guide on this first post as well as the material that we covered today.
Today students began their study of igneous rocks. They read an article introducing igneous rocks and completed a reading strategy guide to help find and understand the important vocabulary and concepts for the lab exercise.
If you need a refresher on how to fill out the worksheet, I've included the powerpoint we used in class to describe the vocabulary strategy.

Wednesday Class....(We Hope!!!)
Getting back into the swing of things......We will be completing a technical writing design challenge entitled "A User's Guide To Me". We will show an example of one and then create our own. This will help us not only to understand this technical writing element, it will also help us welcome our student teacher to the team. Her name is Ms. Hielkema. More about her soon!
We will also be preparing our films and making sure they are on our WhoAmI site for the film festival that will occur THIS Friday.
