Friday Class

Today in science class we did a paper chromatography lab. This lab is available online.

The only thing assigned is yesterday's lab and today's lab are due next Tuesday.

Thursday Class

Today in science we did a pH lab. This lab will need to be handed in next Tuesday.

Wednesday Class (4/28/10)

Today in science we did two things:
1. Had a presentation on chemical reactions. The presentation and student notes are available online. We had 2 students take notes to be displayed online for extra help. Click here for that page.
2. Took a quiz on various topics within this chemistry unit.

There is no homework currently assigned!

Tuesday Class

Today in science we:
1. Had a classroom lecture on photosynthesis. Students took notes on this presentation.
2. Took a CPS activity to relearn material.
3. Finished the lab that we did yesterday.

Monday Class

Today in science we did part 2 of the chemical reactions lab. A majority of the time was spent working on the model of the reaction we witnessed last Friday.

Wednesday Class (4/21/10)

Today in science we did a volume and density lab. The purpose of this lab is to focus on one more physical property of matter.

Tuesday Class

Today in science we:
1. Took a quiz on the Periodic Table of Elements.
2. Had option time in which students could retake a quiz or work ahead on an introduction to chemical reactions sheet.
3. Watched a video on chemical reactions.

There is currently nothing due!

Monday Class

Today in class we:
1. Did a CPS/discussion session of the periodic table.
2. Finished up all previous activities that were not done.

Tomorrow we will take a quiz on the periodic table as well as have time for quiz retakes from before.

Friday Class

Today in science we did two things:
1. We had a lecture on periods within the periodic table. This presentation can be found on our resource page.
2. We worked on our graphing activity that we started yesterday. Students are not done with this yet and we will finish them early next week.

Thursday Class (4/15/10)

Today in class we did two things:
1. Had a short presentation on the periodic table. Students color coded their own copies of a periodic table during this.
2. Worked on a graphing activity on periodic trends.

Wednesday Class (4/14/10)

Today in class we worked our our Adopt an Element activity part two. This means we worked on the advertisement section of the activity. If time was available students worked on a small worksheet. Both of these activities can be found online on our resource pages.

Monday Class (4/12/10)

Today in science we did 3 things:

1. Reviewed concepts that we learned before spring break on the states of matter.
2. Spent time on the two things due this week WEDNESDAY: Matter Lab Sheet and Matter Writing Assignment.
3. Watched a Bill Nye Movie on States of Matter.
