Friday Class

Today in science students did one of two things:
1. Took a retest on the Dynamic Earth test (Rocks & Minerals)
2. Watched some clips from today's ocean world to compare to prehistoric ocean worlds.

Thursday Class

Yesterday in science we did two things:
1. Viewed the Carboniferous Time Period power point.
2. Worked on the Carboniferous creative activity.

Today in science we:
1. Took a quiz on Fossils.
2. Viewed a power point on the Permian Time Period.
3. Watched a online video about the Permian Extinction.

Don't forget...tomorrow we will be doing the test retake!!!! Have your tickets done to take the test.

Tuesday Class

Today in science we finished our station work. We then had a wrap up discussion session going over the first three time periods that we look at: The ordovician, silurian, and devonian.

There is no homework currently assigned.

Friday Class

Today we continued our section of science stations. There is currently no homework assigned.

Thursday Class

Today in Science Class we started a new section of stations on fossils. We are looking at the early time periods. I will post some items as soon as I can!

Wednesday Class

Today in class we did two things:
1. Handed back our Dynamic Earth Tests and discussed the retake procedure. This procedure can be found in depth on our resource pages or by clicking here.

2. Finished the movie, "How the Earth was Made"

Tomorrow we begin a new group of stations on early time period fossils!

Tuesday Class (2/16/10)

Today in science we watched the movie "How the Earth was Made". Students completed a data collection of events that will be placed in a timeline in the near future. The movie did not finish so we will finish it tomorrow.

Friday Class

Today in science we started our fossils unit by doing an activity about studying the layers of earth. This activity is not available online. If you were sick, please pick up a copy when you return to school. There is some teaching required to understand the material.

Thursday Class (2/11/10)

Today we took our written test on rocks and minerals. Tomorrow we begin a new unit on Fossils. There is no homework currently assigned.

Monday Class

Today in class we finished what we started last week Friday. Please look for that link on Friday's posting. Tomorrow we have a lab test that quizzes students ability to answer questions from observing various rocks. On Wednesday we will have the actual rock and mineral written test.

Thursday Class

Today we finished our writing lab on a rock cycle creative story. We started this yesterday. It is due on Monday!

Wednesday Class

Today we did three things:
1. CPS
2. Quiz on Sediments
3. Started our Rock Cycle Creative Writing Activity. This activity can be found on our resource page!

The writing activity will be due on Monday. Students should be able to finish the assignment in the time given during class.

Tuesday Class

Today we finished our earth science stations on weathering, soil, and metamorphic rocks. There is nothing due from this set of stations!
